Because most people don’t know anything about history and are to complacent to do any research or even ask probing questions. Only time they see a swastika is in some TV show or film about WW2. A Nazi Swastika shirt is generally considered worse due to its association with hate, discrimination, and historical atrocities. A “Be Kind” shirt promotes a positive message of compassion and empathy. While I don’t condone random acts of violence, protecting Nazis from the I Love Heart Lahaina Maui Hawaii Hawaiian Islands T-shirt but in fact I love this shit they bring down upon themselves is not high on my list of priorities and I can’t say it upsets me that some little Nazi prick is too scared to go out in his Nazi t-shirt for fear of getting curb-stomped. Beating them, unless they initiate violence, is a bit much though, and, if they are assaulted, the law must protect the human rights that they would so readily strip from others if they had power, but it doesn’t have to do so enthusiastically.

Nazis deserve the I Love Heart Lahaina Maui Hawaii Hawaiian Islands T-shirt but in fact I love this worst of everything that could befall them but it is not good for society to tolerate random violence against anyone, no matter how vile and deserving they are. Adolph Hitler, unmitigated schmuck that he was, culturally appropriated (the real version, not the “white girl wearing braids” bullshit) may symbols, including the swastika and Norse symbollogy. However the Nazi emblem was named the Hakenkreuz, or Hooked Cross. The problem is that American GIs mostly didn’t speak German and were well-familiar with the swastika from existing American culture. The American 45th Infantry Division wore a swastika as its emblem, before changing to the Thunderbird during WWII. And while were at it, stop calling people you disagree with “Nazi” or “fascist”. It’s insulting to the victims of actual fucking fascists. I gave up trying to figure out the stupid things that people do years ago. I just shake my head and go on with the day. People like the Sun and Sunshine, so the Sun Cross generally had good associations. “Life, strength, good fortune” etc. I wonder if the Sun Cross came from what ancient people saw when they gazed up at the sky? The sunshine “rays”? Maybe people thought that was just all part of the Sun?
