I’m one of your gay guys. I’m not that feminine so maybe I’m not your type, but I often get the “too bad you’re gay” comment. And I believe it’s because it’s so easy to imagine that a person would be perfect for you if only they were accessible to you. While in reality, maybe they’re not that perfect or someone you would actually fall in love with. A crush is one thing, but I believe love is something else entirely. Thus, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. My last crush was totally straight, and believe me, finding a good guy is hard for all of us 🙁 If somebody is against LGBTQ, it is better to not confess that you like him that way. He likely will not reciprocate your feelings. If you are best friends, it is better to have self-control, and stay as friends. I am a guy, and from experience with girls who did not reciprocate my feelings, I know that is better to not to keep pursuing them. If somebody also has hatred, it is also better to not be gushing over them. That will drive them away. I know that even that guys who make friends with guys.. If somebody gets too attached, it can be annoying if somebody does not like it. It is better to let go of romantic feelings even if it hurts since you know he does not like guys that way.
