Their modus operandi was particularly heinous, bloodthirsty and hate-filled; they firstly targeted a victim, kidnapped then beat and tortured them and finally killed them using knives to cut/hack their throats or bludgeoned them to death with a hatchet (sometimes resulting in dismemberment of body parts). Most of the murderers were caught and given appropriately long prison sentences, but the two apparent leaders received a ‘form of justice’ at the hands of the IRA who murdered them (most probably as a result of a conspiracy between the IRA and the group of loyalist paramilitaries the two were serving with.)
