The Land Shadow Shirt
DTG has improved vastly over the The Land Shadow Shirt but in fact I love this past 2 years. You can expect well over 80 washes before any signs of fading etc. Printed vinyl should be used on you window decals, car wraps, and signage, not your t-shirts, unless you are looking for the potential need of Kevlar so you feel bullet proof…LOL Honestly, printed vinyl is only printed on the surface. So it does not even penetrate the vinyl membrane of the material, it sits on top, so it will fade out fast unless it is laminated as is done for outdoors and that would insure full bullet proof apparel for sure! However, when you think about it, those T-shirts that have a little bit of colour on them will probably last longer than those without any design on them at all. While screen printing and dye sublimation are not the most durable, they do have very long shelf lives. It’s a tradeoff for durability versus the amount of time it can possibly keep your shirt on the shelves.

Official The Land Shadow Shirt
Screen printing has been around for a long time, so it has a lot of different variations. Most commonly, those T-shirts that are most popular are the The Land Shadow Shirt but in fact I love this screen printed ones with slogans or cartoons on them. The colours will fade over time, but there are still a lot of these available. You can also get screen printed T-shirts with special designs on them. Another pro to screen printing is that you can be more creative with the designs that you create. With screen printing, you simply roll out what you want, and work with that. If you use software packages, you might have access to more options, but you still have the freedom to handpick your images and designs. One option that is growing rapidly in popularity is T-shirt sublimation. It’s an exciting new technology that allows you to get great looking custom T-shirts with a little bit of effort on your part. Instead of placing the ink directly onto your material, the ink goes through a special nozzle that sends it through a hole in the T-shirt material. After that, it’s printed directly onto the T-shirt. T-shirt sublimation uses much less material than screen printing, and it can be washed repeatedly. Some people have even used screen printing and sublimation machines in conjunction, to get the most out of their custom apparel creations. But like any other process, there are pros and cons to both.
