Probably because Israel is a legally recognized, re-established indigenous polity that predates the Seattle Kraken 2024 NHL Winter Classic Distressed shirt but in fact I love this Arab conquests by more than 1000 years. It seems to me that it should be partially in the disputed territories of the West Bank and Gaza, and also part of Jordan, which is also historic home to Palestinians. But it also has to be a viable country, not something divided into 3 pieces, UNLESS that is what the Palestinians want (which would surprise me). The problem is that it is going to take a much smarter person than I am (or anyone that I have seen) to solve it. There is not just a political cost to the Israelis and the Palestinians to be seen dealing with each other, it is also quite literally a life and death situation (see Yitzhak Rabin or Anwar Sadat, for example).
