New York Loves Jeter Shirt

New York Loves Jeter Shirt

A dinner of hopes and plans followed. They would meet Logan the New York Loves Jeter Shirt and I love this following weekend, and if everything went to plan, Logan would be in his forever home by New Years. Andy had made it. Even if she stopped treatment after her current cycle (always a possibility), she would meet her grandson as a living Granny (her preferred appellation). We were the first grandparents to meet Logan, the weekend after Thanksgiving and the day after our 23rd anniversary. He was thinking of this as a potential new foster home, as his current fosters are my age, and needed to retire from the system due to their health. We could NOT say otherwise, for Logan’s own good, should something go wrong. The plan, at that point, was for Logan to be told about a week before Christmas, and to celebrate the holiday with his new, forever family, coming home on Monday, December 23rd. The plan went off without a hitch.

Official New York Loves Jeter Shirt

THE GIFT: Christmas day, the New York Loves Jeter Shirt and I love this wrapping we did included several gifts for Logan, the grandson Andy never expected to meet. But when we had met in November, Logan had called us Mr. Jeff and Ms. Andrea after asking, “Should I call you Grampa?” When we arrived on Christmas, I called him over and asked if he remembered asking that question. He didn’t, but I reminded him of it. He got a big grin on his face, grabbed me in a hug and said one of the most beautiful things I’ll ever hear. Just that single word. Then he turned and gave me the gift I never imagined I’d get. He ran to Andy, looked up and asked, “Gramma?” Andrea looked down and said simply, “Make it Granny, OK?” The look on that young man’s face as he said that word for the first time in his life, while hugging the first lady to whom he could say it was the most precuous, priceless gift I have ever recieved. Fought for by people he’ll never know in ways he can not imagine.
