One can consider how one would dress when we meet a “ruler” here on Earth (Governor, President etc..) and give God/Jesus the Indiana Hoosiers Grinch Nuts Merry Xmas Welcome Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same courtesy and consideration. Modesty is the Christian principle for all dress as we meet together. That which calls attention to us inordinately is not appropriate, such as plunging necklines…etc. Otherwise there are no “rules.” I think it was Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel who got it perfectly right: when some elders decided to put up a sign stating how people should dress — they objected to “beach people” showing up in cut-offs and tank tops — he went out and pulled up the sign from the grass, called in all the elders, and broke the sign over his knee. He then lectured them on the fact that Jesus put no limitations on “Come to Me”, and that there would be no such restrictions imposed by anyone who wished to remain at Calvary. I visited the original Calvary Chapel a dozen years or so after that, and discovered that all on their own almost all those “beach people” had started to dress in better clothes. But every one of them said that if those elders had gotten their way, the beach people would have stopped coming and Calvary Chapel would have stayed a little ingrown group satisfied that their appearance pleased God.

I either where a skirt and blouse or a dress for church I think that’s the Indiana Hoosiers Grinch Nuts Merry Xmas Welcome Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this most appropriate with either heels or knee high boots.😊🙃🤗🌻 This question reminds me of a funny story. Ok, it’s actually more sad than funny, but I laugh every time I think about it. Some years ago my tiny, sweet Mom, my best friend Gail and I visited a Foursquare church one Wednesday evening because they were featuring a series on end-time prophecy, something in which I was intensely interested. The three of us sat toward the back and as we were settling in I was looking around at all these unfamiliar but friendly faces. The men were dressed in suits and the women all wore long dresses or skirts. Some women piled their long hair artfully on top of their heads, while others let their tresses flow loosely down their backs. None of the women wore make-up. Not that there’s anything wrong with any of that, but you get the picture.
