Gnome Philadelphia Eagles Christmas Shirt
Six years ago. My boyfriend, at the Gnome Philadelphia Eagles Christmas Shirt also I will do this time, was out of town for the weekend doing some shows…so I put on one of his rock t-shirts, some heavy make up, and sent him a photo. I did it for a laugh, and because I thought he would think it was cute to see me in one of his shirts…but the photo made me look like a groupie. It was AC/DC…which also happened to be the first concert I ever attended…about 30 years ago. Bob Dylan. I got the shirt at his (kickass) show at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City, New Jersey in late 2018. He literally didn’t say a single word to the crowd all night, but he rocked the roof off, so I didn’t care. Good times. These days I still like rock concerts—the last one I saw, pre-COVID, was the VNV Nation Noire show. (Noire is a truly outstanding album, just for the record.) I think it’s fine to wear a band shirt when the band is not playing. I think it’s a way to show your support for the band and to show your love for their music.

Official Gnome Philadelphia Eagles Christmas Shirt
My colleague visited Oxford last month and came back wearing an Oxford University hoodie. There’s no way she had time to study for a degree, or even enrol on a course. Your favourite band has a cool logo or an iconic album cover? That’s fair game for the Gnome Philadelphia Eagles Christmas Shirt also I will do this cheap fashion shops to get it stamped on 1,000,000 T-shirts and sell them to a bunch of teenagers who’ve never heard of the band and would probably call you Grandpa if you played them a track. Now this presents a bit of a moral dilemma for me. One the one hand, as a previous responder to this question rightly points out, so long as people are buying merch that ultimately helps the band make money and therefore prolongs their career, then that’s a good thing. However, it also makes me seethe inside to see people donning a t-shirt because the logo is cool, and they’re plainly unfamiliar with the band. Okay, before the righteous get their panties in a twist, I know this makes an assumption about those people – of course, who’s to say they’re not ardent fans – but you know when you know, right?
