Because it’s made-up bullshit that people are spewing. I recently overheard someone complaining that Target deserves all of the bad press that they are getting because of the “queer apparel” that they recently decided to market to celebrate “Pride Month”. I couldn’t help but ask why they were suddenly upset about it, since Target has been doing the same thing for the past 10 years? The reply was that the person didn’t realize Target had been doing that. My reply…”so, since you didn’t realize it (because no one made a big deal about it), it obviously didn’t affect or bother you, so why do you now all of a sudden care”? It’s the same bullshit reaction that some people have with Chick-Fil-A…for years the business has actively supported anti-gay rhetoric, and most of its customers didn’t care. But now, when they decide to publicly become “more inclusive” people are butt-hurt and want to boycott them. People need to stop worrying about how others live their lives, and get their own train-wreck lives in order. And I’d prefer not to drag political affiliation into the discussion, but it seems that white-Christian, gun-idolizing, transphobic, gay-hating Republicans are hell-bent on once again attempting to stamp out anything that doesn’t fit their Marie view of life.

If a private company wants to sell a shirt (which is their right) and as a parent I want to buy the shirt, then you are doing nothing than trying to control the lives of other people, and sticking your nose where it isn’t fucking wanted. Do you want me to come over to your place and look through your kids clothes and see what I can find about things you’re doing the harm them? With you fucking Republicans it’s always the same thing: “freedom for me, but not for thee”. How can you (an obvious conservative) ask such a willfully ignorant question? Your own party pushes man-made religion on children (and adults). You think that isn’t grooming? That’s just one example. Children are sponges. Open your eyes to your own actions before condemning people for things they have not done.
