2023 Gateway To The Adirondacks Shirt
Today’s respect for veterans I believe is the 2023 Gateway To The Adirondacks Shirt it is in the first place but pendulum swinging correctly the other way, along with some guilt of our prior mistreatment of Vietnam veterans. I did. I got home and my parents and sisters were there for me. I got my band back up and the high I got from playing onstage took place of the high of combat and my band mates were my new brothers. I was lucky I got married, had three boys and did pretty darn good. While smaller US Navy ships received and exchanged enemy gunfire from North Vietnam’s coastal artillery batteries, and the Navy’s ‘brown water’ operations on the rivers in the Delta region were repeatedly under fire, I do not believe the sailors aboard our aircraft carriers saw or were involved in any actual combat. Certainly the flight crews who flew off the decks saw a lot of combat, but ship’s company personnel did not. Nevertheless there was always the risk. One dark night aboard the USS Midway we heard, “This is not a drill, this is not a drill, General Quarters, General Quarters, all men man your battle stations.” Apparently we were under attack by some MiGs coming out from North Vietnam but they never reached us, turned around and we soon stood down.

Official 2023 Gateway To The Adirondacks Shirt
Although our carrier sailors may not have participated in actual combat, it was always extremely dangerous working on the 2023 Gateway To The Adirondacks Shirt it is in the first place but flight deck. For that cruise we lost a number of sailors from various accidents and crashes on the flight deck. These guys also put in very long and hard hours for us to complete our missions and were just as much a part of our war effort than we pilots who got shot at frequently flying over the North. I was never spat upon or disrespected, in fact, two very cute girls gave me a bouquet of flowers when I landed and an older guy shook my hand, said he was a WWII vet and told me he was glad I got home safe. On the cab ride home, the driver said the cost was on him. In the plane ride home we were over served by the stewardesses who just pampered us. None of my tank crew had a problem either and we all came home in uniform. I talked to a lot of vets at reunions and on the road when I travel, not one of them had a problem.
