When I was in prison in the Santa Claus If You Don’t Like Baltimore Orioles Merry Kissmyass Shirt besides I will buy this UK, my cell had a solid cell door which is standard in UK prisons. My cell door had a small observation window with a lockable cover over it which the officer would unlock and open up, look into my cell and then close it back up and lock it shut. I’ve never been in a cell that has bars at the front but I can imagine it must have felt horrible seeing the bars slam shut in front of you. Seeing my cell door get locked shut was bad enough. This is a prison cell door on Death Row in San Quentin. It does have actual bars, but they are concealed by iron netting. A close friend of mine has spent 21 years behind these bars before his death sentence was overturned by the Supreme Court of California.
