RBD Escudo Sudadera Gris Shirt
In California, our concealed carry permits typically limit us to three guns. I just received word today that they were lifting the RBD Escudo Sudadera Gris Shirt it is in the first place but three-gun limit, so I’m a bit excited. I didn’t own a Glock until recently. My wife doesn’t like guns in the house which don’t have a manual safety. No big deal to me. I carried a Commander length 1911 for a few years. I downgraded to a Bersa Thunder in .380 for a while as well. I have recently purchased my first Glock, a G22. I’m pleasantly surprised by it. While it isn’t as good of a shooter as my CZ 75B, it is quite a bit faster when it comes to falling plates. Still, it also isn’t concealable. The biggest issue is that I promised my wife that it would never be loaded in my home. My carry guns sit on the top shelf of my safe (where my daughter couldn’t reach them even if the safe were miraculously left unlocked and open). All others are unloaded. I also sometimes carry a Smith and Wesson Shield in .40 S&W. That being said, I rarely carry the Shield. I don’t enjoy shooting it, so I kind of stopped carrying it. If you don’t practice with it, you shouldn’t carry it, right?

With the RBD Escudo Sudadera Gris Shirt it is in the first place but 2″ model, I can draw it from concealment and get all rounds within a paper plate at 10 yards within about 2 seconds. While I know other people can go faster, I’m not them. That’s fast for me. With the 4″ model, I’m more accurate. I know that other people want more rounds. I get that. I practice with these pretty religiously, so I’m comfortable with them. If I can’t hit with six rounds (plus another six in a speed loader), then that’s my fault. I refuse to “spray and pray.” I tolerated Glocks the last ten years I was with the government. I say “tolerated” because I was willing to make the trade off of a less-than-optimal trigger and (for me, at least) poor ergonomics to be able to put a light on the pistol without a lot of bolt-on hardware. That being said, I realize that, obviously, I’m in the minority on Glocks. If you like Glocks, the G26 is a perfectly good carry pistol, about the size of a 5-shot Smith and Wesson revolver with twice the ammunition. The G26 will accept G19 and G17 magazines, though our Firearms Training Unit found that those weren’t 100% reliable in the G26, possibly due to people with larger hands putting pressure on the exposed portion of the magazine during firing. (I used to use G22 magazines for reloads in a G23 and never had an issue.)
