Likewise, the young men you see in white shirts and ties, often with bicycles are LDS missionaries, 18–23 year old boys who volunteer full time for approximately two years to do all kinds of missionary and service work. Or the could be from other churches like the Jehovah’s Witnesses who sometimes also dress in similar fashion. Even the thought that all Latter-day Saints look like 19 year old boys is rather flattering, at least to them men! Although its probably an insult to the adult women, the 10s of thousands of female missionaries all whose tend to dress more along the lines of business casual or the millions of kids and old people, none of whom look like 18–23ish year old boys. Latter-day Saints or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are from all over the world, representing every nationality, culture, tradition and sub-culture on the planet. They dress like everyone else fro wherever they live and their financial status. The only difference sometimes is they tend to dress more modestly than the average population, not always, as much of the population dresses far more modestly than what media and Hollywood wants you to believe. Now to your second question. Check your bible, it implicitly states that God wants those engaged in his work to do so in groups of two or more. many churches follow this admonition. If all did there would be far fewer instances of sexual abuse in various churches, schools or business situations.
