Funny you should ask. There was this kid with me in 5th grade who used to do the Maui Strong American Hawaii Flag Shirt and by the same token and Nazi salute and say “Heil Hitler” hoping to elicit a response from teachers or classmates. All he ever got were eye rolls. I have no authority to ban anything and neither does any level of government in the United States. The abysmal ignorance or dishonesty of those who advocate and/or accept the idea of banning anything is the worse development in my lifetime. Thank God it didn’t come from my generation (now passing into the shadow of the war years.) If you did it as a normal person in the street? Best case scenario, people just think you’re a bit of an idiot. Worst case scenario? You’re beaten up or arrested for a public order offence (realistically this more likely to be for your own protection). Nazi emblems aren’t illegal in and of themselves, but they are so controversial and provocative it likely wouldn’t be hard to make a public order charge stick. Anyone who wears a Nazi uniform in public is either naive (and so a short sharp talking to by the police will sort them out) or knows exactly what they’re doing. A Nazi Swastika shirt is generally considered worse due to its association with hate, discrimination, and historical atrocities. A “Be Kind” shirt promotes a positive message of compassion and empathy.
