Honestly? Whatever is comfortable. Overall, just wear something that you feel comfortable in. Nobody really cares what you look like except for yourself. If you think that a ball gown and 10 inch heels is a good look, then girl, you work it. High school is a time for people to experiment with their looks, and who they are in general. Wear that weird blouse in the back of your closet that you never wear! Maybe it looks good on you! In our current inclusive community, if we are to openly accept tattoos, piercings, rainbow hair colors, gauges, distressed garments, and extreme accessories, there has to be tolerance for business attire, real leather shoes, pulled-together outfits, and preppy accoutrements. Depends where you are going and who you are with. Going to work? Anyways. By formal, I assume it’s like a tuxedo shirt with ruffles. etc. And what do your pants look like? You certainly don’t want to wear a fancy shirt with shorts. Even with certain jeans, it would look ok. “We” can wear whatever the heck we want. That said, pink dress shirts and pink formal shirts are two entirely different animals. Pink dress shirts have been around for decades and can pretty much be found in most men’s clothing stores everywhere in America.
