In 2003 the US invaded the country of Iraq. Now Iraq was a smaller and poorer nation than the US, but it was by no means weak. Iraq had The US didn’t share a border with Iraq. They had to invade from halfway around the globe. This limited the size of US forces and meant only 580,000 US and coalition troops invaded. How did the US do? Well, in about six weeks, the US conquered the entire nation. From there, it would combat a dedicated insurgency and pull out, but Iraq survives as a Democratic pro-US country.
