Buckshot had always been hyper with Gryphon. He is a young boxer. A puppy. We always had to be careful to keep his playful instincts at bay around fragile Gryphon so as to not have Bucky accidentally jump on him and further injure his delicate spine. For some reason, this moment when we showed Buckshot Gryphon’s lifeless body lying there he was very gentle. He seemed sad. He looked at Gryphon and sniffed his nose then turned and sadly walked away with downcast eyes and laid down in the Merry 4th Of July God Save The Queen, Man Joe Biden Shirt besides I will buy this corner quietly. I truly believe he knew his friend was gone forever. In that moment… and I do not know how this could be possible..Buckshot seemed as if he was mourning. He stayed that way for days. We got Gryphon’s ashes back last week. He will be scattered on our property on the beautiful hill he used to play on underneath the big oak overlooking the Bay Area. I believe that dog’s come into our lives exactly when needed most. I was severely bullied in 8th grade. I was in a small private school and my class that year consisted of 13 kids, 5 of them being girls. My dad got me a puppy and I no longer felt alone. Jerry took me out of a very dark place. He was family and no dog prior to or after has compared. Unfortunately, we had to put him down in August of 2019. He made it 15 years old with cancer and horrible joint problems in his back legs.
