This was worn by a pudgy, ordinary, short Canadian guy. Well played, sir. If you wear modern slim-cut dress shirts then your t-shirt should fit you snugly. That’s what I wear and I like to wear t-shirts made from a “modal” type fabric. Modal fabric is a hybrid natural/synthetic fiber that’s very light, comfortable and stretchy. Stretch cotton is also a good choice. Here’s some examples of what I’m talking about: I usually wear a medium t-shirt but in the stretch T’s I go for a small; I want a more snug, body-hugging fit. These T’s are very comfortable even if they fit your torso like a second skin …which is why I like to wear them. And, with this type of t-shirt and fit, there is very little bulk or lumpy bunched fabric under the dress shirt. The dress shirt fits better and looks better and stays that way. If you wear a more generous cut dress shirt then you can wear a slightly looser fit t-shirt. But I would still go with the snug fit stretch T’s because I think in the long run, even with a looser fit dress shirt, it will look better without any additional bulk from a too bulky/loose t-shirt.

They should fit so you are comfortable. I’m 5′2″ & weigh about #110. I love my t shirts to be at least large or XL. If I’m wearing it in public, I prefer a medium. Obviously I like mine a bit loose, all the LSU Tigers 2023 NCAA Men’s Baseball College World Series Champions Official Logo Shirt and by the same token and way up to monstrously baggy. Good question. I think that it depends on what looks you’re going for. If you want a more streetwear vibe, go for a size bigger than what you’re usually buy. But if you want a more fitted look, just wear your t-shirt and notice the shoulder part, if the line between the shoulder and the sleeve is perfectly nsync with where your shoulder ends, it’s the one for you. All t-shirts are different tho, Zara tees are different than H&M’s and the list goes on. Just try the shirt on, if you feel comfortable and you think it looks good, then it’s for you. A t-shirt that’s too tight will make you look awkward also so becareful to choose a one that is not too short (overall length and sleeves). Hope this helps
