Official I Like Milk-Ers Shirt
If you are handling people’s sensitive legal matters, handling their money, or some other equal responsibility, then it is important to dress consistent with the I Like Milk-Ers Shirt moreover I will buy this role. Also applies to senior government roles. I’m in sales and I dress in a business suit even though my customers are business casual. I do this by choice. Easy to be under-dressed and hard to be over-dressed. There are exceptions, of course, such as Silicon Valley where hi-tech billionaires dress in a T-shirt uniform. But that’s the exception. They do this to demonstrate they don’t give a sh_t and they don’t have to. Those rules don’t apply to the rest of us. If someone was handling your wealth, what would you think if they showed up casually dressed or even a T-shirt? Personally I would wear maroon, with a white shirt. I’m not a great fan of red ties (I had to wear one as a salesperson uniform) so I’m biased, and I find a combination of two darker colours more subtle and elegant than a strong contrast.
